Route of the Month – April
This months route sticks to the roads, starting in Oughtibridge, it sends you right into a substantial climb up to the tops of Bradfield before dropping down into Bradfield itself. Climbing out of Bradfield and dropping into the peaks you will cross Ladybower res before climbing again up to Stanage edge (great spot for a break)
Next up, Leam climb and part of Sir William Hill, then dropping down to Eyam. The next great view (one of the best in the peaks in my eyes) Longstone Edge.
Halfway point is around Tideswell, ideal to refuel.
The final part of the route will take you over the top and drop down Mam Nick followed by Edale. A few little lanes that work their way back to Ladybower, followed by a blast over the Strines and a final climb up to Bolsterstone
Difficulty – 6/10 a tough road ride, but no gravel sections and a few steep climbs.
All being well, I will be doing the route starting at 9am on the 24th April, anyone is welcome to join!
Enjoy. Be nice. Say hi. Respect others.
